There are no supermarkets, traffic lights or even any buildings taller than a palm tree on this tropical paradise, what you will find are nice resorts that cater to your desire for privacy and relaxation.
Molokai is a peaceful island, where you can relax on beaches that you can have all to yourself. While on Molokai you can visit seaside towns, secluded swimming coves, ancient Hawaii fishponds and other historical spots.
On Molokai's spectacular and nearly inaccessible north coast, you will find the world's highest sea cliffs, hidden valleys, and waterfalls plunging hundreds of feet into the ocean. It is so isolated, you can only get there by air, or water, and you will be dropped off on beaches rarely visited by anyone.
You can play golf, snorkel, whale watch, take the famous mule rides, visit a coffee plantation or just explore this history rich island.
It is easy to get around on Molokai. The main highway crosses the island from east to west and has several small roads that branch off from it, but do not go very far.
The highway has green mile marker posts every mile. When you receive directions they will more than likely include the nearest mile marker, so remember to ask "what is the closest mile marker". By doing so it is hard to get lost on Molokai.
Please note that the highest speed limit on Molokai is 45 miles per hour and in many places it is lower. Although it may seem like it is taking a long time to get where you are going remember to slow down and enjoy your time on our beautiful island.
